General Information: 

The group is interested in integrating fundamental materials science concepts with biological principles to improve currently used biomaterials to heal damaged tissues. Particularly, biomaterial surface features are modified to possess nanofeatures to promote orthopedic, cardiovascular and skin cell interactions, while enhancing antibacterial properties.

-Fabrication of a Silk/CNF based cardiac patch and its biological properties. COST Action, 2017.
