The Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree preferably in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering. Postdoctoral experience is strongly preferred.
METU provides a strong and supportive research environment, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and advanced characterization and processing infrastructure. The Department offers a broad and dynamic research portfolio encompassing both fundamental and applied studies across metallurgy and materials science and engineering.

Successful candidates will be expected to secure external funding and establish a robust sponsored-research program, conduct independent, cutting-edge research, and teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
