Bölümümüz MetE 402 – Materials Engineering Design II dersi kapsamında yürütülen; Kaan Yetiş, Taha Can Korkmaz, Zeynep Karaca, Eren Topçu, İpek Soyal, Haluk Ali Camcıgil ve Zeynep Balcı'nın oluşturduğu T2'nin "Hand Sanitizer Production via Green Synthesis of Core-Shell NPs" adlı grup projesi, "Breaking the Wall of Unsustainable Hygiene" başlıklı sunumuyla Falling Walls Lab Türkiye 2025 finalinde yarışan 10 proje arasından birinci seçilmiştir.

Projemiz, bölümümüz öğretim üyelerinden Assist. Prof. Dr. Şeniz Uçar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Batur Ercan ve Assist. Prof. Dr. İrem Nur Gamze Özbilgin danışmanlığında gerçekleştirilmiştir.

Bu başarı ile ekibimiz, 6 Kasım 2025 tarihinde Berlin'de düzenlenecek Falling Walls Lab Grand Finale'de üniversitemizi ve ülkemizi temsil etme hakkı kazanmıştır.

Tüm ekip arkadaşlarımızı ve danışman hocalarımızı tebrik ediyor, Berlin'deki büyük finalde başarılar diliyoruz.

We Won the Falling Walls Lab Türkiye 2025 Final!

Within the scope of the course MetE 402 – Materials Engineering Design II, the group project titled "Hand Sanitizer Production via Green Synthesis of Core-Shell NPs" by Kaan Yetiş, Taha Can Korkmaz, Zeynep Karaca, Eren Topçu, İpek Soyal, Haluk Ali Camcıgil, and Zeynep Balcı, representing team T2, has been awarded the first place in the Falling Walls Lab Türkiye 2025 final with the presentation "Breaking the Wall of Unsustainable Hygiene", selected as the best among 10 competing projects.

The project was conducted under the supervision of our faculty members Assist. Prof. Dr. Şeniz Uçar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Batur Ercan, and Assist. Prof. Dr. İrem Nur Gamze Özbilgin.

With this achievement, our team has earned the right to represent our university and country at the Falling Walls Lab Grand Finale, which will be held in Berlin on November 6, 2025.
